Dec 21, 2008 Paint the Wind is a very well executed novel. Author Pam Muoz Ryan has divided the book into four sections, Walk, Jog, Lope, and Gallop.
I felt that this was an excellent device that mirrors Maya's release from her grandmother's confining restrictions. Free at last, she slowly opens up and moves on with her new life.
